The Libby Museum has a great program for kids this summer on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10-12pm.  I've been bringing my 3 year old daughter and she just loves it.  On Wednesdays from 12-1pm the Squam Lake Science Center brings in various animals like this porcupine to teach the kids.  They have had a falcon, Owl, turtle…

On a side note, I can remember being licked by a porcupine while sleeping in a shelter on the Appalachian Trail.  This particular family was addicted to the salt from the hikers sweat and chewed the floor boards, railings, clothes, just about anything with a little sweaty residue.  They were salt junkies!   Here is a link to Libby Museum and the Squam Lake Science Center.  There are usually spaces still available for kids so give them a call and give it a try.
