Goodhue 003
A fox in the hen house moment.   This school of finger-lings was trapped in a pool on the Smith River with 2 large bass for the last couple of weeks.   With the lack of rain lately, the dam has been closed and the river runs dry in places.  The water was abruptly turned off after the Smith River Canoe race trapping schools of fish. The river always used to have some water in it with some crayfish and helgramites but the lower dam is now left wide open for liability reasons and the upper dam is controlled to a target elevation.   The result is a river ecology that is pretty much destroyed.   I guess this would be my first non-celebrating post.
