This photo is also taken from Black Snout with a view over Islands (closest to furthest) : Whortleberry, Little Bear and the backside of Cow, Ragged, and Sandy. Gunstock is part of the Belknap range, a prominent feature looking south from Wolfeboro. Here is a link to Gunstock Ski area.
So many childhood memories of Gunstock Ski area. As a student at Carpenter Elementary school here in Wolfeboro back in "the day", we would load up the bus early in the morning and hit the slopes. I'm not sure who originally came up with the program but they are brilliant. I believe students from Crescent Lake school now go to King Pine in East Madison.
