My back-side hurt just watching these first and second graders from carpenter school at Pop Whalen Ice Arena. These kids are determined and tough. I just want to reach into the photograph and help straighten up the little man starting to fall backward top center. How about the girl in the yellow helmet helping her friend that had just fallen off the ice walker.
Pop Whalen is run by the town of Wolfeboro and serves as the offices for the Wolfeboro Parks and Recreation Department. The arena host a number of adult and youth leagues and they offer public skating hours.
